Committees and Upcoming Meetings
The Steering Committee - Facilitated by Dave Maxwell, the group meets monthly, and is making progress on renewing efforts for each One Lenawee group.
Strategic Planning and Marketing Committee- Carl Brooks is facilitating this group, and they're looking into the criteria for regional awards (Best Rural Place to Live) and have a sub-committee working on a strategic plan for the community.
Arts Committee - Jere Righter is the main contact for this committee and Carol Souchock is the contact for Art-a-Licious.
Governmental Collaboration - Joe Williams is facilitating this group. They worked with the Citizens Research Group and University of Michigan on collecting information from local governmental units for future collaborative efforts.
Education Committee - Ann Hinsdale-Knisel is the main contact for this group. This group works to highlight the County's educational gems, including the organization of Workshop on the Move tours and other programs.
Ag. Committee - Currently, there is no committee, but the One Lenawee Steering Committee will receive updates from the Lenawee Farm Bureau, Lenawee County Ag. Committee and the Farm-to-Factory Regional Initiative.
Student Town One Lenawee is also kept updated on the Student Town Initiative in the City of Adrian. Graduate students from the University of Michigan Ford School of Business completed a report about Student Town and made some recommendations:
